This forms the famous travertines of different colors and shapes, in terrace-like forms, with pools and overhanging fascinating stalactite shapes. The ruined city of Hierapolis which dates back to 2000 BC lies buried here. The water here is good for many allergies, skin diseases, blood pressure, etc. There are many other sites to visit such as Rhodes Island, the Ancient City of Hieropolis and the Marmaris Castle. Marmaris is one of the most popular resorts in Turkey. It is famed for its unending nightlife in numerous clubs and bars stretching along the coast.
